Boxster GTS Features
This Custom Porsche Boxster GTS was built by my son Jacob and I as a weekend project. John David and Joshua also lent a hand from time to time. We started with a 2002 Boxster S that my friend John Gill got for us at an auction. We acquired the Tech Art body kit from Tony Ugas at Precision Porsche. The Porsche was first painted white. Paint masks designed by myself and my daughter Lauren along with porschestripes.com were used to add orange decals on top of white. The paint was expertly applied by Dale Garner of Dales Custom. The Lamborghini Arancio Borealis PPG code : 905385 and 905385/2 supplied by Ogden Auto Body and Paint . The orange color contains both green and gold pearls to give the car a unique look. Seven coats of high gloss clear was then cut and buffed to give the Boxster GTS a custom show car finish.
The interior was done by Jacob and I where we began by painting the grey using a black interior paint. The carpeting was dyed black. The center console was modified to accept an iPad Mini. The iPad is used for all audio. It is also hooked to the OBDII port to monitor all engine activity. The seats were redone in black leather by Alex Upholstery in Brigham City. The diamond stitch pattern was inspired by an Aston Martin.
We decided this year to make the car go as fast as it looks. The GTS is currently being enhanced with a new drivetrain. A 430+ hp LS3 engine is being added along with a 6 speed Boxster S transmission. The engine is an E-Rod Chevrolet Performance crate engine. Brackets and motor mount components were built by Renegade Hybrids and the adapter and clutch components were from Kennedy Engineered Products, Inc. The LS swap is being completed by Josh at Specialties Auto.

LS3 Engine Conversion
The GTS is currently being enhanced with a new drivetrain. A 430+ hp LS3 engine is being added along with a 6 speed Boxster S transmission. Chevrolet Performance leads the industry with E-ROD crate engine systems and supporting components that enable enthusiasts to build a car that complies with the law, satisfies their desire for a cleaner hot rod and doesn't sacrifice the performance.
